The wait to adopt can be challenging: anxiety about the unknown wait time, experiencing discrimination and/or microaggressions, and having family/friends who don’t understand why it is stressful. This group exists so people do not need to go through the adoption process alone.

Open to 2SLGBTQIA+ people in Canada and the US who are in the process of adopting.

Facilitated by therapist Brett Mason and sex educator Wyatt Dahl, a queer couple who adopted their kiddo

As a queer, trans or Two-Spirit person it can be hard to figure out how to have kids, and it can be an overwhelming process to start. That’s where this class comes it: it offers a brief overview of the different ways that 2SLGBTQIA+ people can expand their families, as well as things to consider.
